INTRO / OUTRO VIDEOS

  1. Assignment is to create an Intro/Outro for the news! Intro will have a slideshow/videos of MHS campus with a music over the videos. Outro will have an animated background with a quote and Have a great day Bulldogs with a Bulldog on it.
  2. INTRO
    1. PREP
      1. Make a new folder in PR-Personal called PR-Intro-Outro
      2. Get video/pictures of MHS campus
      3. Download music (should be instrumental with no words)
      4. Put all media into the appropriate folder
    2. Make your new PR file (1920X1080 is OK as is 1280X720)
    3. Add Media to your Premiere file
    4. LENGTH - Your Intro should be 10-13 seconds
    5. MHS Announcements on the title
    6. Make sure to fade the music at the end.
    7. Add appropriate transitions between the media.
    8. Export Intro - Name it Period-Name-Intro (2-Angove-Intro)
  3. OUTRO
    1. PREP
      1. Get animated background from MixKit.co or pexels.com
        It should be interesting to look at
      2. Put all media into PR-Intro-Outro/Media
    2. Make a new sequence in your PR-Intro/Outro folder
      (1920X1080 is OK as is 1280X720)
    3. Add Media
    4. LENGTH - Your Outro should be 25-30 seconds
    5. MHS Announcements on the title
    6. Famous Quote or saying (KEEP it postive!) for 15 seconds
      Run it past me
    7. Use the same song as the Intro / Fade the music at the end.
    8. Add appropriate transitions between the media if needed
    9. Export Intro - Name it Period-Name-Outro (2-Angove-Outro)

INTERVIEW / MULTICAM VIDEO GENERAL FORMAT:

  1. Basically you will be making a short 30 second video about yourself describing your future plans and what you want to do with your life with videos/pictures interspersed in the video. (J & L Cuts)
  2. Intro with interesting appropriate animated background
    (NO BLACK BACKGROUND) and animated text.
  3. Outro with interesing approprate animated background so animated text is legible.
  4. Edit shots using Multicam with at least 2- maybe more if you can get it in - cuts at appropriate times
  5. Appropriate editing of each shot
  6. Appropriate transitions
  7. Pictures to support what you are saying - use Rule of Thirds
  8. Uploaded to Google Drive to your Premiere Personal Page with short description of what you did.

HISTORY VIDEO

  1. PR- Holiday History Video
    You will be researching a holiday and making a short video about what it is and why people celebrate it. Get pictures, videos to support the visual side. You will need to read a short script (30-45 seconds) that describes the holiday.
  2. Get topic assigned - don't like it, you can switch if you wish. Ask me what is leftover.
  3. Research orgin of holiday, meaning, what happens, etc.
    FOCUS ON THE HIGHLIGHTS
  4. Write/copy to a word document. You will need to speak for around 30-45 seconds.
  5. Download approriate resources: Pictures, video/music from YouTube, whatever supports the holiday
  6. Design appropriate intro/outro (no black background) get a good bg picture.
  7. READING SCRIPT
    You should use your phone in the back room OR at home and send the file to yourself. Make sure you practice so you get it right and sound good. NO ERRORS
  8. Make the video - keep it light and interesting - use video and all pictures should move, but not too fast.

GENERAL FORMAT

  1. 5 Second Intro with animated background - should say title of your subject.
  2. Background music - make sure to duck it so your voice can be heard.
    ** You should NOT be in the video
  3. Interesting images / videos that support what you are talking about (like we did with MHS Promo Video and Bike Interview
    ** HINT - Once you record your audio THEN you will know how long the video needs to be so try that out BUT you can place your images/video in too.
  4. You can use text if applicable BUT ask me first and we'll figure it out.
  5. 5 second outro with subject of video - do NOT put your name on this one.

  2. Download an image that you can zoom into (should be LARGE picture >1200px----)
  3. Find a feature (face, area, etc.)that you want to zoom into to focus on.
  4. Name that area (like you did with the sticky notes)
  5. Put your name on the document someplace - might want to do an animation.
  6. **** Pre-Compose after you have the text on the document.(This makes it a composition that keeps the text and picture together when you zoom in.
  7. Zoom into 3 areas over 10-15 seconds.

    Basically, you will be shooting lightning out of your fingers and zapping yourself then disappearing into smoke.
  2. YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD / ACQUIRE ALL THE FOLLOWING:

    1-Record yourself facing straight ahead with fingers out "zapping" someone - should last around 5-7 seconds
    2-Record yourself facing to your left with "zapping" fingers out - about 5-7 seconds
    3-Record yourself facing to your right getting hit by force lightning (hands up in pain) - should last around 5-7 seconds
    HINT: Stay within the greenscreen so you don't have to mask it (like you learned in Dirtfish)

    1. 2 Star Wars Backgrounds (Control room, space station, whatever) 1280X720
    2. 1 Small greenscreen explosion with smoke (this will be you blowing up after getting zapped) Get this on YouTube (Remember the Yout(delete UBE) trick?)

  1. ADVICE VIDEO 2
    Get video of 10 friends (NONE FROM THIS CLASS!) and ask them what the best advice that they have received was, take those videos and put them together
    FOCUS on the Rule of Thirds, filming quality and voice quality. Don't film in any loud areas. i *might* put them on the announcements (XTRA Credit) so BE SURE to tell your friends that they might end up there!
  2. MUSIC VIDEO
    Download a song from YouTube or elsewhere. It should have singing in it close to the beginning of the song. *(YES it needs to be a clean version!)
    Get the lyrics from a lyric site.*(YES it needs to be a clean version!)
    Download a free pexels video it should be about 2 minutes OR you can loop it if appropriate.
    Make your own video with the pexels video, song and lyrics at the appropriate times.
Wednesday ADVICE 2 VIDEO:
1. Intro with interesting appropriate image (NO BLACK BACKGROUND) and animated text.
2. Outro with interesing approprate image blurred so animated text is legible.
3. Film the 5 advice videos using your phone - needs to be steady - do your best with the audio.
4. Appropriate editing of each shot. (No long spaces or cutting) remember the count in's.
5. Appropriate transitions
6. Edit audio for best results.
7. Background sound at beginning and end (probably not throughout video).
8. Uploaded to Google Drive to your Premiere Personal Page with short description of what you did.
9. If it is good, I'll come by and get the video from you as well for the announcements.

Name your folder 01-MultiCam-Interview

PR-02 SHOT TYPES VIDEO - Video with different shot types in in. (This is from your PR05-Shot Types Worksheet from last semester.) There are 14 shots so stay organized.
Your video should have an intro, outtro and the shot types in the middle.
You will need to demonstrate each shot type with a short description of why they are used in each shot.
I would HIGHLY suggest that you do these at home so you can maximize your time in class editing the video.
YES You can print this out if it will help you to record the videos.

SHOT TYPES VIDEO:

4. Decent dialog/audio with no distracting background sounds. (Yes, this is hard, do your best!)Audio should peak at max of -4DB
5. Appropriate editing of each shot. (No long spaces or cutting) remember the count in's.
6. Appropriate transitions
7. Background sound at beginning and end (probably not throughout video).
8. Uploaded to Google Drive to your Premiere Personal Page with short description of what you did.
